Spider Punk Confirmed Toys Leaked

It’s not expected until May 2023, but Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is already the subject of a major leak. Indeed, two toys dedicated to the film found themselves on the shelves of an American store, and thus confirm the presence of a new character, namely Spider-Punk. With his metal crest on his head, his guitar and his denim jacket, he is recognizable among a thousand and will come to establish himself among the 240 characters who will be spread over the two parts of the film, the second chapter only coming out on April 3, 2024. We imagine that Spider-Punk will be among the central characters of this sequel, the latter having very interesting comic and musical potential, knowing that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the directors of the first Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse (New Generation in VF), had expressed the wish to do something with the character from 2018.

The two toys (the mask + the guitar) were therefore put on the shelves several months in advance, which is a classic leak, let’s not be surprised. Comic book lovers are already very happy with the news, because even if the character was created recently (in 2015), he has a certain sympathy with Spider-Man fans. We were also able to play with him in the game Marvel’s Spider-Man from Sony and Insomniac Games studios in 2018. We remind you that Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse will be divided into two parts, that the first will arrive in cinemas in May 2023. We will find the character of Miles Morales, who will remain the main hero, and will be accompanied by Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman and Spider-Man 2099, dubbed in VO by Oscar Isaac). Their common enemy will be The Spot, known as La Tâche in VF.
