Spider Man wasnt allowed to appear in the latest MCU series

She-Hulk: The Lawyer is coming to Disney+ soon, bringing back many Marvel favorites. Above all Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and He-Hulk Mark Ruffalo. Incredibly was an appearance by Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is also planned. But he was banned by the boardroom.

Marvel bans Spider-Man’s appearance in She-Hulk for legal reasons

Showrunner Jessica Gao told The Direct:

We wanted to feature a lot of characters from Marvel Comics. But we couldn’t use some of them for legal reasons, and Marvel said they had other plans for others. The saddest thing was with Spider-Man, because among our authors there are many Spidey fans.

She couldn’t find out what “plans” Marvel was pursuing. The MCU spider probably has purely legal problems. Although it is a Marvel comic book character, the rights to the Tom Holland incarnation are owned by Sony and were part of a deal between the two companies for theatrical release. It’s also unclear if Holland intends to slip into his superhero suit again.

Unfortunately without Tom Holland: When will the MCU series She-Hulk come to Disney +?

For now, though, all Marvel fans can look forward to Tatiana Maslany’s first appearance as a green biceps advocate. She Hulk starts on August 18, 2022 on Disney+.
