Now Holland has talked about it already concrete talks about a fourth Spider-Man film gave. Work on the sequel is on hold for the time being. The reason is the current script strike in Hollywood.

According to Comic Book, Holland also spoke to Variety about his Spider-Man future at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room. This has to be postponed due to the strike in Hollywood:

I can’t say anything about that, but I can say that we had meetings. We suspended the meetings out of solidarity with the authors. Several talks have been held but at this point we are still in a very, very early stage.

The Screenwriters Union (WGA) and the major Hollywood studios could not agree on fairer pay. Therefore, several thousand authors of films, series and shows are currently downing their work indefinitely.
