“Spelunker’s Cove” launches tomorrow with new shiny, powerful bonus and more content

The new event, Spelunking Bay, is just around the corner in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you what you can expect from the event.

When is the event? The event starts on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.

While a local part of GO Fest 2024 is already taking place in Madrid, which culminates in the global GO Fest 2024 in about a month, this gives you the opportunity to take part in an event from elsewhere. The event even features a few Pokémon that are currently in Madrid.

Shiny, Bonus, Pokémon

Which Pokémon will make its shiny debut? Crabbox, the fighting Pokémon from the 7th generation, is making its shiny debut in the event. It is available in this form in the game for the first time. It has an evolutionary stage called Crawell.

Which Pokémon are in the event? During the event, there are several Pokémon waiting for you in the wild and in raids. These are the following.

In the wilderness:

  • Small stone*
  • Rhyhorn*
  • Lampi*
  • Marill*
  • Pottrott*
  • Remoraid*
  • Nose*
  • Perch*
  • Rock
  • Crab box*
  • In 1* raids:

  • Crab box*
  • Tear-louse*
  • Miniras*
  • In 3* raids:

    In 5* raids:

  • Demeteros* (incarnation form)
  • In Mega Raids:

All Pokémon marked with an * can also appear as Shiny.

What bonuses are there in the event? Within the event you can also look forward to various bonuses.

  • Double candies when catching Pokémon
  • Event field research
  • Here you can meet Kleinstein*, Nasgnet*, Bithora*, Rocara, Krabbox* and Miniras*
  • Pokémon marked with an * can also appear in their shiny form.

What else is there in the event? For $2 (approximately €2) you can purchase a limited-time research in the in-game shop. You have until the end of the event on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. to complete the tasks. The rewards include encounters with Krabbox, 5 premium battle passes and 20 Krabbox candies.

Which Pokémon are particularly worthwhile? Both shiny hunters and trainers who focus on raids or the Battle League can get their money’s worth in the event. The shiny debut of Krabbox could be interesting for collectors who want to add a new shiny to their Pokédex.

If you still need strong additions to your raid teams, Rhyhorn could be interesting. Its final evolution, Rhyhornior, is a strong Pokémon as both a rock and ground attacker and can therefore be found on the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.

Caracara, on the other hand, shines in the Battle League. It is one of the best Pokémon in the Super League and is currently ranked 4th in the PvPoke list. If you still need a good example of this, you should take advantage of the event.

The bonus in the event, which gives you double the candy when you catch Pokémon, also makes it even easier for you to collect the candy you need for these Pokémon in order to level up your Pokémon. If you use a Pineapple Berry when catching, you can get a whopping 12 candies per catch.

What do you think about the event? Is there any content that particularly interests you? Feel free to write your opinion in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers. Of course, we also have an overview of all events in June 2024 in Pokémon GO for you.
