The international tournament of the Finnish hockey team for boys under 18 years of age began on Thursday in a special character in Ängelholh, Sweden.
According to Swedish magazine Expressen, the Little Lions had to dress up against the United States in the United States in a local SHL club Rögle’s jerseys, as the Finnish team had only included their dark blue gameplay in the tournament.
Communications Director of the Ice Hockey Association Henna Malmberg told Iltalehti that Finland had been informed in advance that the team would play all the tournament matches in blue jerseys.
Rögle managed to arrange the white jerseys of the club in the opening match of the Little Lions as the United States dressed as a home team in blue shirts.
