As expected, it happened and plug-in hybrid cars were officially given a discount on SCT.
The statement made by Erol Şahin on this issue is as follows: It happened: “The Special Consumption Tax discount has become official. The Special Consumption Tax discount for plug-in hybrid vehicles has been published in the Official Gazette and entered into force… According to the new regulation, the Special Consumption Tax rates for plug-in hybrid vehicles with carbon dioxide emissions below 25 grams and an electric range of 70 km and above will be as follows;
-30% SCT for those with an engine cylinder volume not exceeding 1600 cm3 and a SCT base not exceeding 1,350,000 TL,
– 60% SCT for those with an engine cylinder volume not exceeding 1600 cm3 and a SCT base exceeding 1,350,000 TL,
– 70% SCT for those with an engine cylinder volume exceeding 1600 cm3 but not exceeding 1800 cm3 and whose SCT base does not exceed 1,350,000 TL.
The regulation will be effective from today.”
