The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, world number 2, retained his title at the Masters 1000 in Madrid against the German Jan-Lennard Struff (6-4, 3-6, 6-3), this Sunday, May 7. This victory allows the 20-year-old Spanish prodigy to win the 10th title of his career, his 4th in Masters 1000, and his 4th of the season after Buenos Aires, Indian Wells and Barcelona. In total, Alcaraz has 29 wins for only two defeats in 2023, including 19 wins in 20 matches played on clay.
