(Finance) – Unemployment is growing in Spain. At the end of the 1st quarter of 2024, the unemployment rate reached 12.3% compared to 11.8% in the 4th quarter of 2023. Analysts’ expectations were for a confirmation of the rate at 11.8%.
It should also be noted that the number of employed decreased by 139,700 units compared to the previous three months, reaching 21.25 million.
According to theIberian Statistical Office (INE)the number of unemployed decreases by 6,540 units.
