Spain will send 10,000 soldiers and authorities for additional assistance to the flooded area of Valencia, announced the Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Saturday.
Rescuers have been looking for survivors among the mud and debris carried by the floodwaters.
According to the latest information, the floods have claimed the lives of at least 211 people. The number of victims is believed to rise, as dozens of people are still missing.
The floods caused by heavy rains were at their worst on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. It rained as much water in the Valencia area in a very short time as it rains in Finland in a year.
