(Finance) – Inflation growth in Spain confirmed in May. According to theSpanish statistical office INE, the consumer price index recorded a +0.3% on a monthly basis, in line with the preliminary estimate. In April prices recorded a +0.7%.
On an annual basis, there was growth of 3.6%, in line with the first reading, and an acceleration compared to +3.3% in April.
Harmonized inflation recorded a positive variation of 3.8% on an annual basis, over +3.4% in the previous month. On a monthly basis, the figure marks +0.2% after +0.6% in April.
