Spain, inflation slows down in August

Spain accelerates inflation in February

(Finance) – Spanish inflation sets the pace in August. According to the Spanish National Statistical Institute (INE), which published a flash estimate today, inflation on an annual basis is estimated at 10.4% from 10.8% in July e below 10.9% of the consensus.

The consumer price index on a monthly basis record a 0.1% increase after the -0.3% in July and compared to the + 0.3% expected.

Harmonized inflationwhich takes into account a different and identical basket for the whole EU, should register a trend increase of 10.3%in line with the consensus and against the + 10.7% of the previous month.
