(Finance) – Spanish inflation in July was lower than analysts’ expectations. According to theNational Institute of Statistics Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE), which published a flash estimate today, annual inflation is estimated at 2.2% compared to +2.8% in June and the +2.4% estimated by analysts.
The index of the consumer prices on a monthly basis it records zero variation after the -0.5% of June. The data compares with the +0.1% expected by the market.
Harmonised inflation, which takes into account a different and identical basket for the whole EU, is expected to register a trend increase of 2.4%, lower than the consensus +2.5% and below the previous month’s +2.9%.
