Spain, December inflation down to 5.8%

Spain inflation confirmed sustained in July

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Spanish inflation it is expected to drop in December. According to Spain’s National Institute of Statistics (INE), which released a flash estimate today, year-on-year inflation is estimated to 5.8% from 6.8% of November, lower than 6.1% of consensus.

The consumer price index on a monthly basis recorded an increase of 0.3% after -0.1% in October.

Harmonized inflation, which takes into account a different and identical basket for the entire EU, should register a tendential increase of 5.6%, lower than the 6% consensus and compared to 6.7% in the previous month.
