The US credit rating company S&P Global Ratings has kept Finland’s credit rating unchanged at AA+. The company describes Finland’s economic outlook as stable.

S&P predicts that Finland’s gross domestic product will shrink by 0.4 percent this year, despite the fact that the country’s economy has started to recover in the second half of the year.

The company estimates that, among other things, higher interest costs and additional national defense and social spending will increase the deficit of the Finnish economy to approximately 3.6 percent of GDP this year.
