“I am pleased to report this new role to the taxpayers in the riding of Essex,” Leardi said. “I will continue working to deliver the skilled trades jobs, infrastructure and housing investments our region needs.”

Jones has been appointed the deputy government house leader, helping manage legislative proceedings, coordinate government initiatives, and facilitate communication between members of the legislature.

“I am deeply honored to take on the role of deputy government house leader,” Jones said.

“Together, we will continue to serve all constituents and advance the well-being of Ontario.”

Jones and Leardi will continue as parliamentary assistants, respectively, to the minister of agriculture, food and rural affairs, and the minister of mines.

Both MPPs were elected in the 2022 provincial election.
