North Korea has fired a ballistic robot in an easterly direction towards the sea, the South Korean military announces.
According to the South Korean military, it was discovered that at least one ballistic robot had been fired. Initially, it is not stated what type of robot it is or how far it got.
North Korea has carried out a record number of weapons tests this year, which has further increased tensions in the relationship with South Korea and its close allies the United States and Japan.
North Korea is also suspected of receiving more advanced technology from Russia – in exchange for weapons that the Russian invasion force is using in Ukraine.
