When does the League of Legends Worlds start? League of Legends Worlds 2023 is scheduled for October 10th, marking the start of what is arguably the biggest and most exciting event on the League of Legends calendar.
This year, South Korea will again send four dreaded mid laners to the World Cup. Since 2019, these four players have claimed almost every World Cup spot in Korea and they are at the heart of the action.

Their names have become synonymous with excellent midlane performance not only in South Korea but worldwide. These four midlaners are sure to provide some spectacular moments and crucial plays at Worlds 2023.
Of the 18 teams the LCK has sent to the Worlds over the past five seasons, 17 have had one of these top-flight midlaners in their starting lineup. This impressive dominance speaks volumes about the quality and consistency of these players.
There was one notable exception, however: Zeka, who represented 2022 DRX as their starting midlaner. Known for his outstanding performances in the group stage, quarterfinals and semifinals, Zeka was instrumental in DRX’s impressive run in the tournament: DRX spectacularly won the 2022 Worlds against T1 and Faker.
But in 2023, the focus will again be on the legendary midlaners Faker, Showmaker, Bdd and Chovy. It is fitting that the tournament returns to Korea for the first time since 2018.
