South Korea’s military has fired warning shots after several North Korean soldiers crossed the border between the two countries early Thursday local time. This was reported on Friday local time by the news agency Yonhap, referring to the statement of the South Korean army.

According to the statement, the North Korean soldiers retreated immediately after the warning shots.

It was already the third such border crossing this month. The previous border crossing took place on Tuesday.
