This Sunday evening, South Africa and France are competing for a place in the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup. The defending champion faces the host country. Rugby is a sport associated with South African history. It was exploited by the racist apartheid regime in the name of pseudo white superiority, and took a long time to integrate black and mixed-race players, as is more the case today.
