In South Africa, more than 30 years after the end of apartheid, justice continues to examine cases from the time. A man who served as police during the segregationist regime was convicted Thursday of the 1989 murder of a young activist in the Durban area. By closing this case, South African justice is moving a little closer to its goal of not letting the crimes of apartheid go unpunished, even decades later.
