South Africa a violent taxi strike paralyzes Cape Town and

The city of Cape Town, located in the southwest of South Africa, has been paralyzed for almost a week by a collective taxi strike. Because the Santaco, the South African National Taxi Council, is angry because of the application of a regulation by the municipality, led by the main opposition party of the Democratic Alliance, allowing their vehicle to be confiscated in case of violation. The violence has increased since the start of this strike, killing at least five people.
