Sources Greenlands homeless were bribed to pose as Trump supporters

In a video shared by Donald Trump Jr., a group of Greenlanders appear wearing MAGA caps. Several sources say that there were homeless people in the crowd who had been bribed with a free lunch.

Donald Trump Jr,’s PR staff reportedly bribed the homeless and underprivileged in Greenland to impersonate the future president of the United States Donald Trump’s as supporters.

Several sources tell about it Danish public radio for DR.

According to DR, the incident happened when Donald Trump Jr. – the future president’s son – visited Greenland earlier this week.

During the visit, several Greenlanders posed with the younger Trump, wearing red MAGA (Make America Great Again) caps.

Some of the crowd also enjoyed lunch with Trump Jr. at the Hereford Beefstouw restaurant of the Hans Egede Hotel in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland.

Donald Trump Jr. has shared a video of the incident on the messaging service X. In the publication, it is described that the “Nuukki local community” was present.

Several sources have since told DR that some of those featured in the video are homeless and socially disadvantaged individuals.

Many of the participants of the event have previously been seen hanging out in front of the store opposite the hotel. The matter is confirmed, among other things, by the store staff.

The store’s employees also say that Donald Trump Jr.’s PR team distributed MAGA caps in front of the store, inviting people to have lunch at the high-class restaurant.

– It seemed that the PR people quickly gathered random people [ravintolaan]and that many of the people didn’t know what they were participating in, commented the store’s marketing and communications manager Benny Reffeldt Excerpt to DR.

The member of parliament criticized

In an interview with Denmark’s Yleisradio, a Greenlandic MP also commented on the matter Drive Chemnitz. He says that he recognizes several people who attended the lunch from the Nuuk street scene.

Chemnitz criticized what happened.

– My understanding is that people have been given a free meal in exchange for wearing a cap and being extras in social media videos and podcasts, he says.

DR also asked the host of Trump’s son’s visit about it From Jørgen Boassen.

Boassen admits that not only “ordinary” citizens but also socially disadvantaged persons attended the lunch. However, he denies these separately for the occasion of being “recruited”.

– They themselves stood outside the hotel and showed interest, he commented.

Trump’s team did not respond to DR’s request for comment on the matter.
