Lies of P is currently available to PlayStation owners at the lowest price yet. But some fans would prefer something completely different from the developer.
Like many other shops, the PlayStation Store is currently running its “Summer Sale”, meaning you can get good games on the PlayStation 5 at a relatively low price. One of the highlights is likely to be the game “Lies of P”, which is currently reduced by a whopping 40%.
A reason to celebrate for everyone who hasn’t been able to play the game yet – but the persistent fans are waiting for something completely different.
How much does Lies of P cost? Lies of P is currently 40% off in the PlayStation Store, meaning it costs €35.99. The offer is valid until the end of the sale, i.e. July 31st.
What is Lies of P about? In Lies of P you take on the role of a puppet belonging to the toymaker Geppetto – but in a rather dark and twisted world. You must explore the city of Krat, which has now fallen prey to madness and is plagued by all kinds of bloodthirsty horrors.
As is usual for Soulslike games (in the style of Elden Ring), enemies are extremely deadly and if you’re not careful, you’ll quickly find yourself caught in a multi-part combo that will snuff out your character’s life before Pinocchio can grow a long nose.
It is all the more fulfilling when you master the combat system and can send your enemies to the floor through quick reactions and good observation.
Why are fans dissatisfied? If you look at social media, for example on X, you’ll see that players are mainly waiting for information about the DLC. It’s been announced for a while, but things have been pretty quiet since then. Accordingly, many are using the announcement of the price reduction to vent their displeasure that there is still no information about the DLC or a possible successor.
Some people also think it’s “cheeky” that just a few weeks after a sale where the game was reduced by 30%, there’s now an even better offer (via X) – because you could have saved even more money if you’d waited longer. But hey, you can’t please some people anyway.
Are you finally going to get Lies of P for the PlayStation? Or are you going to wait for the DLC to be released before you even try the game? Our editorial team liked Lies of P so much that they drove to the gym at night to rage quit.
