Souleymane Diamanka and the pen takes the air

The poet and slammer Souleymane Diamanka publishes ” Of the pen and the sword “. A new collection of luminous poems.

His new collection, Souleymane Diamanka opens it with René Char’s famous invitation: “Impose your luck, hold on to your happiness and go to your risk. Looking at you, they will get used to it”. This is undoubtedly what he did, this poet whose “genealogical baobab – to use his words – has its roots in Africa and its peak in Europe”. In this case Bordeaux, this city in the south-west of France where his verses flow like good wine.

Souleymane Diamanka publishes today his second collection of poems, still in the “Poetry Points” collection of Editions du Seuil directed by Alain Mabanckou. He celebrates love of course, but also Spartacus the prince of slaves, women, the beauty of nature, fraternity and peace.

With his deep and soothing voice, Souleymane Diamanka puts his words on the texts of this new book entitled ” Of the pen and the sword “.
