SOSH catches up with a little delay on the competition

SOSH catches up with a little delay on the competition by passing the flow of its fiber to 1 Gbit/s, without changing the price of its offer. A significant progress for the faithful of the Low-Cost brand of Orange.

Sosh, the Low-Cost brand of Orange, crosses a decisive course by passing the flow of its fiber to 1 Gbit/s, without modifying its price. It was time because, since its launch, this offer offered performance behind its competitors. With this new update, Sosh finally returns to the race.

For 25.99 euros per month, SOSH subscribers now have access to speeds up to 1 Gbit/s for download and 800 Mbit/s in dispatch. This represents a significant leap compared to the old offer which was limited to 400 symmetrical Mbit/s. If the offer does not include television, a TV option is available at an additional 5 euros per month, thus offering a certain flexibility. It includes a B Livebox 5, with Wi-Fi 5 and four Ethernet ports at 1 Gbiyt/s. Everything is without commitment, allowing subscribers to be easily terminated, for 50 euros in costs (up to 100 euros reimbursed for those leaving their previous operator).

Sosh fiber: a correct price, but Bouygues is doing better

This change comes in a context of increased competition on the French fiber market. In recent months, operators have been competing in faster and more competitive offers. Bouygues Telecom, for example, offers a pure fiber offer at 8 Gbit/s for only 23.99 euros per month, a difficult proposal to equal in terms of flow. Free, for its part, continues to seduce with its Freebox Revolution Light at 19.99 euros per month during the first year (29.99 euros then), offering flows of 1 Gbit/s when going down and 600 Mbit/s when . As for SFR, its subsidiary Red by SFR offers a symmetrical flow of 1 Gbit/s for 23.99 euros per month, without TV option.

Although SOSH is slightly back on the shipping flow compared to SFR, the operator can count on the quality of the Orange network to convince. Indeed, the Orange network is renowned for its reliability, a weight argument in the face of competitors like Bouygues or Free. In addition, unlike very high speed offers like that of Bouygues at 8 Gbit/s, which could seem excessive for classic domestic use, Sosh’s offer remains balanced. With 1 Gbit/s when descending, it largely meets the current needs of households, even for demanding uses such as 4K streaming, online games or telework.

Sosh thus manages to catch up, finally aligning on the market standard, without sacrificing its attractive pricing positioning. If we add to this the lack of commitment, Sosh’s fiber offer becomes a solid option for those who seek to reconcile affordable prices and satisfactory performance. That said, more demanding consumers or looking for the latest technological innovations could always turn to ultra-rapid offers from Bouygues or SFR.
