In X-Men: The Movie, Hugh Jackman played Wolverine for the first time, which would become the most iconic superhero role of his career. 24 years have passed since the 2000 blockbuster and Jackman was once again seen as Wolverine in the current Deadpool film. Wesley Snipes plays the longest-running Marvel character as Blade
The new Deadpool installment is not only an entertaining superhero adventure for the two title characters. Deadpool & Wolverine also brings back numerous past characters from the Marvel universe. This includes Wesley Snipes as Blade, who first played the vampire hunter in the 1998 film of the same name.
According to Guinness World Records, Snipes is now officially the actor who has played a Marvel hero for the longest time in film history thanks to his performance as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine. The exact number is 25 years and 340 days. Jackman last held the record at the age of 24.

Wesley Snipes breaks another superhero record as Blade
As Guiness World Records further states, the star has broken another record in film history with his Deadpool & Wolverine cameo. With the 19 years and 231 days that have passed between Blade: Trinity and the latest Deadpool film, Snipes now also holds the Record as actor with the longest gap between Marvel hero appearances. The last person to break this record was Alfred Molina (17 years between Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home).
It is not known whether Snipes will reprise the role of the legendary Daywalker. There is a Blade reboot planned for the Marvel universe, but it has been stuck in production hell for years. Snipes is not involved in it yet.
