Sophiahemmet: “Very serious”
According to the screenshots that Aftonbladet has seen, it is names, social security numbers, and pictures that are being spread on the Darknet. Among other things, information about Princess Christinaand also the princess’ husband Twords Magnusson. In order to return the sensitive data, the hacker group demands a ransom of SEK 10 million from the hospital, according to P4 Stockholm.
Sophiahemmet does not want to answer any further details about which patients it concerns, and Hultkrantz believes that the investigative work needs to be completed before individual people speak.
– We of course take the hacker attack that Sophiahemmet was subjected to very seriously. We think it is extremely important not to speculate about the screenshots that the hacker group published on the Darknet before our investigative work is complete, says Hultkrantz to Nyheter24.
The investigation will hopefully reveal exactly what information was stolen from the hospital and there is a clear set of regulations to follow.
– Since the hacker attack became known, intensive investigative work is underway to map out what additional information was stolen from Sophiahemmet. This work is carried out in close collaboration with the police and IT security experts. We are very careful to follow the regulations and recommendations of the authorities in connection with this theft, says Hultkrantz.
