“I didn’t know anything about the animals yet, so I went to San Diego for two weeks. There I learned everything about the animals from the keepers there. That means cleaning the enclosure, giving them new eucalyptus, getting to know the animals, weighing them “Spending a lot of time with them,” Polman explains.
