During the pandemic, domestic tourists were able to spread out on the campsites as the many places were empty. Now the restrictions in Norway have been released and already now about 80 percent are booked at the campsite in Boden.
That the tourism to the city means a lot to others as well, the destination manager has noticed as he constantly before the summer received questions from other traders about the Norwegians coming this year.
– It means a lot to many companies and the whole of Boden as a municipality, says Leif Larsson.
“Then I flee”
Already now, some camping visitors have put down the poles in Boden to catch up before the big storm that is expected to take place the week after midsummer.
– Then I flee. We are here a little earlier and then we go north, says Anette Blomquist from Stockholm.
But Rolf Holmgren, who is camping next to Anette Blomquist, thinks the opposite. He appreciates when there will be a little more moves and has missed the Norwegians during the pandemic.
– There are always a few stories to tell when there are a lot of people on the go, he says.
