Sony PlayStation VR 2 Coming to PC in August with Additional Costs
Sony’s PlayStation VR 2 headset could only be used with PlayStation 5 until now. However, Sony announced that it would make the title compatible with Windows in the spring. Recently, references about the “PlayStation VR2 PC adapter” appeared on the internet and Sony officially announced this adapter.
It has become clear that this adapter is required to use PlayStation VR 2 on Windows. In a PlayStation Blog post, Sony noted that the adapter connects to the PC via DisplayPort and USB Type-A, requiring an output port compatible with DisplayPort 1.4. Additionally, there won’t be a DisplayPort cable included with the adapter. The adapter also features a USB Type-C port to power the PS VR2.
In order for the PS VR2 headset to work on PC, the PlayStation VR 2 application, which can be downloaded from Steam, must be used. However, PS VR2 will only be officially compatible with Steam VR. Therefore, to play VR games on PC with the PS VR2 headset, you need to have both PlayStation and Steam accounts. The minimum PC requirements set by Sony are quite reasonable.

The PlayStation VR 2 PC adapter will be available in the UK, US and Eurozone on August 7, 2024, priced at £49.99, $59.99 and €59.99 respectively. The price in Türkiye is not known yet.
