Sony plans to launch the new version of PlayStation Plus

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has just announced on its blog that the new version of its PlayStation Plus service will arrive a little earlier than expected. According to its CEO Jim Ryan, the planned launch dates are now as follows:

  • Asia (excluding Japan): May 23, 2022 instead of June
  • Japan: June 1, 2022
  • Americas: June 13, 2022
  • Europe: June 22, 2022

The service will consist of three offers:

  • PlayStation Plus Essential (8.99 euros per month or 24.99 euros per quarter or 59.99 euros per year).
  • PlayStation Plus Extra (13.99 euros per month or 39.99 euros per quarter or 99.99 euros per year).
  • PlayStation Plus Premium (16.99 euros per month or 49.99 euros per quarter or 119.99 euros per year).

Only the Premium offer will allow streaming. For countries without this function, Sony will offer the offer PlayStation Plus Deluxe at a lower price.
