It also looks like Carrey will surprise viewers this time as Eggman’s grandfather, Gerald Robotnik.
One detail that has been overlooked in the trailer is whether Dr. Robotnik and Shadow will ever meet up in the film. Those familiar with the Sonic games will remember that the duo have worked together in various games, so there could be a similar collaboration in the film.
