This Netflix option is too often forgotten by subscribers when they go on vacation or on weekends.
On vacation or weekend, you may want to enjoy the last Netflix series or catch up with a program that we missed. But before leaving, there is a functionality of the streaming platform that must be used, in order to make sure not to be bored during the journey, or to anticipate the areas without Wi-Fi.
Most Netflix subscribers can indeed download films and series on their application to see them offline. This feature is only accessible on smartphone, tablet, computer under Windows 10 or 11 or Chromebook, (with the Google Play Store), via the Netflix application. It is advisable to be connected to the Wi-Fi to download your content, so it is best to select your programs before departure on vacation.
The handling is then very simple: you must first choose the program you want to download. You will see a small arrow that points down, on which just click. If you want to download several series episodes, it is possible, but you must select each of the episodes you want (or “Download the season” if you want to view all of them). The programs you downloaded are then available in the application. To free up space, you can then delete them once the viewing is over.
Please note, this feature does not necessarily exist on all films or on all series of Netflix. To have access to the content concerned by this tip, you must go to the application menu and select “See the titles to download” (iPhone, iPad, Android, Fire), “Find videos to download” (Windows) , or “More videos to download” (Chromebook).
In addition, all subscriptions to Netflix do not all have the same advantages. If you have subscribed to the standard offer with advertisements, the cheapest of the streaming platform at 5.99 euros per month, you can only download 15 titles per device and per month to view them offline. The other two subscriptions offer to download 100 titles maximum. You just have to take advantage of it, by selecting “download” in the Netflix application, where you will find all the content you have installed.
