Some people gave themselves up while others were found as Chatham-Kent police arrested five people on outstanding warrants.
A 27-year-old Chatham woman turned herself in at police headquarters early Friday afternoon on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on an assault charge, police said.
Later in the afternoon a 31-year-old Chatham woman also turned herself in at police headquarters on a warrant for failing to attend court on charges of assault and mischief under 5,000, police said.
Both women were released with a March 4 short date.
A 46-year-old man, wanted for failing to comply with his probation order, turned himself in at the Chatham court house early Friday afternoon, police said.
He was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing, police said.
A 39-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after police were called to a Bloomfield Road address just before 6 pm Friday regarding a possible medical emergency.
Police said while on scene, a query revealed the woman was wanted for failing to attend court on an assault charge. She was arrested and later released with a March 11 court date.
Just before 3 am Saturday, police said an officer on patrol located a 48-year-old Tilbury man on Prospect Street in Tilbury.
A query revealed he was wanted for failing to attend court and failing to comply with his probation order, police said. He was arrested and later released with a March 16 court date.
