Solo players feel unfairly treated and discriminated against by Bungie this Christmas

There’s anger in Destiny 2 over a modifier in the new activity The Twist that’s perceived as being “unfair to solo players.” There is a lot of frustration at Christmas.

What annoys the Guardians at Christmas?

  • The Season of the Witch brought a new seasonal activity to Destiny 2: The Coil.
  • The activity is a real highlight for solo players, with some “rogue-lite” elements promising replayability and a challenge. Overall, the activity is being praised by the Destiny community.
  • The winding is also a pleasant activity for “normal players” in which you can slowly get better and work on it. It is a welcome change and motivation, especially for solo players. But there is a catch.

Hate modifier spoils Christmas for players in Destiny 2

What’s the catch? A random modifier is also active in the activity. And for Christmas it’s with the Weekly Reset on December 26th. Of all things, “togetherness”.

The modifier causes health regeneration to be reduced unless you stay close to a team member.

However, going into the activity solo means that you can’t regenerate life properly, which makes the activity completely unnecessary, tedious, cruel, and almost unplayable for solo players.

This is the complaint: For one Reddit user, the situation that this modification is active right now at Christmas shows that Bungie simply doesn’t care about the actual game.

The modification punishes solo players and discriminates against them. All other modifiers make sense and are okay, but “togetherness” ruins the game for solo players.

Players agree: modifier is annoying, buggy, has to go

This is what others say: Overall, “togetherness” itself seems to be an absolute hate object in Destiny 2. Even in the team, it’s a “shitty modifier,” they say on reddit.

The modifier feels frustrating and buggy, even when standing next to teammates it seems like life regeneration takes forever to kick in again.

One user explains: The modifier is actually buggy, you only get rid of it when you take damage while standing next to a team member.

In any case, Bungie seems to be playing the Grinch here for Christmas.
