There is a fire in an apartment building in Huvudsta in Solna.
– There is a confirmed fire in an apartment, we have started smoke diving, says Åsa Sköld, line operator at the rescue service.
According to the emergency services, it is a student residence that is on fire. The police are also on the scene and write that several police patrols have been sent as the house is “relatively tall”.
– The fire is on the eighth floor, says Åsa Sköld.
At 10:10 p.m., the police announced that the operation was winding down.
– It seems that the fire is out and we have started signing off patrols. The apartment was empty and we have had telephone contact with the person who lives there, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the police.
No residents had to be evacuated in connection with the fire.
