I’m posting this video from this afternoon to thank all the caregivers, you uncrowned kings.
Without them no tour no return to normal life.

As of February 10, 2021, in a press release, the organizers of Solidays announced that the 2021 edition is, in turn, cancelled. “The probability of being able to play in the open air, in large gauge, standing up this summer is so low that it does not seem reasonable to us to want to believe in it any longer. This uncertainty which has been eating away at us for months generates fear. And for Solidarité Sida, the future must remain a promise and not become a threat”, could we read in the press release.
“We no longer want to nurture hope without being sure of anything. We no longer have time to wait for a reassuring vaccination rate, nor the hypothetical establishment of a health passport, nor the happy day where we can find a bit of ‘normality’ in our lives”, continued the organizers, who want to “carry all [l]their energy on the search for the 3.5 million euros of result which will disappear” with the cancellation of the Solidays festival, which generated money for the fight against HIV.
Instead of the festival, the organizers announced “a big Solidays TV evening next June”, to “celebrate youth and solidarity in music in a different way. We also aim to mobilize during the weekend of the festival (18 – June 20) all those who like us think that Solidays is essential through various and varied fundraising initiatives. Due to the health crisis, donations to Solidarité Sida fell in 2020. “This festival alone represents 70% of Solidarité Sida’s resources”, explains Luc Barruet, founding director of the association this Wednesday at the microphone of franceinfo . It is possible to make donations on the site of Solidays or Sidaction.
As the Solidays festival is an event committed to ecology, it is strongly advised to get to the site by public transport. Head to the Hippodrome de Longchamp, Route des Tribunes, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. A free shuttle service has been set up there, as well as free bicycle parking.
If you want to go to Solidays by metro, here are the lines to take: Line 1 (Porte Maillot stop), Line 10 (Boulogne-Jean Jaurès stop) or RER C (Porte Maillot stop) then access to the festival with the free shuttles.
By shuttle: In collaboration with the RATP, shuttles run regularly between Porte Maillot and the Longchamp site. The hours are as follows: Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to midnight. From 12:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, in the return direction, the system is reinforced with shuttles serving the Saint-Lazare station (stop at the level of the N151).
