Anniversary of the war
A year has passed since Putin launched Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Something he thought would be quick and easy. But a year later, the price of the war in Ukraine continues to rise.
News reports of war alarms and bombings have since alternated as fighting continues along the front lines in Ukraine.
The soldier and the father of three
Soldier Ihor Dubrovskyj is in northeastern Ukraine. He is 42 years old and has three young sons. He says he is prepared to die for his countrymen.
“Thanks to all my brothers and sisters who sacrificed their lives, I get to hug my family in the evening when I get home,” he says.
