It concerns a man from Sandviken who is 45 years old and a man from Gävle who is 55 years old.
Together they ran a network where they sold illegal IPTV to thousands of customers – and blew the TV companies out of millions.
The duo has already been sentenced in a lower instance, and now they are also being sentenced in a higher instance for serious copyright infringement and infringement of the Copyright Act, writes GD.
Must pay back 114 million
According to the first judgment, the men had over 12,000 customers, in the latter, the Patent and Market Court states that it was at least 5,000.
The amount of damages is thus reduced from SEK 196 million to just under SEK 114 million, which must be paid back to TV4, Discovery and Viaplay.
In connection with the house search, gold and whiskey worth several million kroner were seized. Furthermore, the men are said to have made large deposits in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, and the court has decided to seize a total of SEK 68 million.
