Oliver Solberg will drive next year in the place left by Sami Pajar in the WRC2 series
Swedish driver Oliver Solberg see you next year at the wheel of Toyota’s GR Yaris Rally2 car in the WRC2 series of the rally, says the website of the World Rally Series WRC. The 2003 world champion by Petter Solberg son Oliver drives for the Finnish Printsport team and replaces this year’s WRC2 champion, who was promoted from WRC2 to the first class of the World Championship Sami Pajarin.
Oliver Solberg, 23, drove a Skoda this year in the WRC2 class to second place. He eventually lost to Pajar by three points. Now the youngster goes for the second class championship with Toyota.
– The goal is definitely to aim for the championship. The three-point loss stung a lot (this season). I know (Yaris Rally2) is a fast car, Oliver Solberg said on the WRC website.
