solar panels for the Orange “data center” with a view to carbon neutrality

solar panels for the Orange data center with a view

Where the date center is, there is a large parking lot. We are going to cover the roofs of these car parks with solar. And on this basis, we can recover the energy produced by these plates to inject it into energy consumption. We will cover 527 megawatts that we expect to produce this year. We will be around 70% of existing consumption initially. And we’ll cover the rest with the extension we hope to do in 2023. The idea is to go 100% carbon neutral. Not just us. This will be something that will be extended to other places that we have in the area, but also to the other technical centers that we use in the production of services in telecommunications in general.
