24-year-old Soha Saad was a newly graduated primary school teacher with big dreams.

They were extinguished on the night of Thursday in an explosion.

– We are sad, Soha’s brother tells Aftonbladet.

Uppsala resident Soha Saad had recently graduated from the university.

For five years she had studied to become a primary school teacher.

Alongside her studies, Soha worked extra at schools as a substitute.

The family describes her as a very well-liked person.

– She was a wonderful person, she loved everything and everyone. There was nothing bad at all and no person who could be angry with her, says Soha’s brother.

“Looked but couldn’t find her”

But on the night of Thursday, Soha’s dreams and life were extinguished when a powerful explosion detonated in Storvreta in Uppsala, right next to the family’s house.

Soha’s brother tells how he woke up and how he first thought he was in a dream.

Quickly he saw how his entire room was destroyed. He describes the terrifying minutes after the explosion.

– I wake up and run out, mother and father and all the siblings run out of their rooms. I realize our sister isn’t with us so I run up and there’s smoke everywhere. Then mom says she slept down there during the night. I try to look but can’t find her, says Soha’s brother.

Soon some neighbors came and started helping in the search for Soha. But only when the ambulance arrived at the scene did they find Soha.

“Shouldn’t happen”

Soha had nothing to do with the ongoing gang violence. She became another innocent victim.

In a neighboring house lives a person related to the leader of the Foxtrot network, the wanted Rawa Majid, according to Aftonbladet’s information, but that person and the rest of the family must have been away. According to Aftonbladet’s information, the police believe that that person must have been the intended target.

Soha’s brother says that the siblings and the family were close to each other. She was the oldest of the siblings and passionate about her profession as a teacher.

Two people have been requested to be remanded on suspicion of murder and serious public danger after the explosion in Uppsala.

In Uppsala, a family has lost a daughter and a sister.

– This must not happen, says Soha’s brother.

The family has approved that Aftonbladet publishes the picture of Soha.
