Soest needs more space for Ukrainian refugees No guarantee that

There are currently 139 Ukrainians living in Soest who have fled the war violence in their country. In March, shortly after the influx of refugees had started, the municipality was still counting on about 50 to 70 people. With the help of local organizations and institutions, the municipality now accommodates 76 in hotels, holiday homes and demolished buildings in Soest and Soesterberg. Another 63 Ukrainians have found shelter in residents’ homes.
