Söderström hero in long penalty drama

Anton Heikkinen became the winning shooter for Skellefteå after shooting penalty number 21 into the goal.

But Linus Söderström was praised the most by the guests. Both he and colleague in Timråkassen Jacob Johansson saved 30 shots during the first 65 minutes.

Söderström then took 20 of 22 penalties.

— He makes some important saves, especially on penalties when they can decide. He’s doing really well and we’re starting to get spoiled for it, says Skellefteåbacken Jonathan Pudas to TV4 Play.

An already injured Skellefteå suffered an interruption during the match and defender Oskar Nilsson had to play centre. New NHL signing Andreas Johnson sat on the sidelines for the second game in a row and will have to wait for his debut.

Timrå star Jonathan Dahlén on his team burning lots of chances:

— It is a recurring theme that we create a lot and do not score goals. It’s insanely frustrating.
