At 10.15 on Saturday, the emergency services were alerted to a heavy fire in a row of terraced houses in Bergvik in the municipality of Söderhamn.
Six apartments are currently affected. The extent of the injury is unknown.
– It was a fully developed fire when we arrived at the scene and it had spread to the wind. We have stopped the smoke diving when the roof collapsed, says Jimmy Andersson Taylor, at the rescue service.
According to the emergency services, there is a risk of spreading to more townhouses in the area.
– We are currently working to try to limit it, says Jimmy Andersson Taylor.
A VMA has now been issued to residents in Bergvik where the public is warned about the fire smoke.
What caused the fire is unknown.
The police are also on site and assisting the emergency services.
