Viktor Gyökeres had many eyes on him ahead of tonight’s match against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Visitors City took the lead after just four minutes when Phil Foden netted.
Minutes later, the Swede Gyökeres got a free position but was unable to finish and City’s Ederson Moraes was able to save quite easily.
But then in the 38th minute he got another free-kick and got his revenge by equalizing for Sporting Lisbon.
The goal was Gyökeres’ third in this year’s Champions League. He has also accounted for 16 league goals during the season.
Dream minutes for Sporting in the second half
Just 19 seconds into the second half, Maximiliano Araujo made it 2-1 for the home team.
A minute and a half later, Josko Gvardiol caused a penalty. Then it was Gyökeres who stepped forward and knocked in 3–1.
