Soccer: Success for Viktor Gyökeres – goal directly in the Champions League debut

National team striker Viktor Gyökeres has developed into a goal machine this season.

Eight goals in five games and leading the scoring league in the Portuguese top flight.

Tonight he made his debut in the Champions League for his Sporting Lisbon against French Lille – and it was a goal straight away.

In the first half and match minute 38, Gyökeres scored the ball which meant 1–0 to the home team. He was then involved in a situation where Angel Gomez received his second yellow card and thus was sent off. Gomez stamped the Swede and was shown the red card.

Bayern Munich’s crazy crush

Sporting won the match 2–0 after Zeno Debrast scored a cannonball from distance right on top of the crossbar.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich accounted for the CL evening’s most sensational result. The Germans won with a crushing 9–2 and Harry Kane accounted for four goals in the meeting.
