National football team player Natalia Kuikka says on Instagram that he is leaving his current club team, Portland Thorns, who play in the American NWSL series.
Portland won the NWSL league championship in 2022 and Kuikka was one of the team’s important players. He says that he has developed both as a player and as a person during his years in Portland, and in his Instagram update, he thanks the club and fans for three seasons, the highlight of which was the championship.
In the second year, Natalia Kuikka was chosen as the soccer player of the year in the vote of the Sports Journalists’ Association in Finland. It was the first time the title was awarded to a female soccer player. In addition, she has been selected in 2017, 2020 and 2021 as the Finnish Football Association’s female player of the year.
