The alarm came in to the police at 9.30 on Saturday after the public raised the alarm about an uncontactable person lying on the ground outdoors in Byttorp in Borås municipality.
– I have no information to provide regarding the injury situation at the moment, says Jens Andersson.
The person was found next to a sports facility, according to the police.
– They have played football there but we have interrupted it so that we can work undisturbed, says Jens Andersson.
The police have cordoned off the area. They also work to interview people on the spot and try to create a picture of the incident.
An ambulance was also sent to the scene during the morning, the police write on their website, which is otherwise tight-lipped about details of the incident and the state of the damage.
The incident is being investigated as suspected attempted murder or murder.
The sports facility Byttorps IP is closed until further notice.
