After losing in the opener away to Dortmund, Frankfurt hosted Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Hugo Ekitike gave the home team the lead in the 24th minute and barely ten minutes later Hugo Larsson also struck.
The midfielder was nicely played through before he coolly slotted in to make it 2-0. The match ended 3–1 to Frankfurt, who finished sixth last season.
As a Bundesliga debutant, Larsson scored two goals and one assist in 29 appearances last year.
On September 5, Sweden plays in the Nations League away to Azerbaijan. Hugo Larsson is selected in Jon Dahl Tomasson’s national team squad.
